Virus problem when i start my computer i get a cannot find ';nail.ex'; message also cannot use system restore?

this started when i installed avg virus protection and had problems so uninstalled. it i tried Ad-Aware and did a scan , followed the recommended virus quarantine's etc . still get nail.exe err message and cannot system restore to another date. everything else seems to be working but slowVirus problem when i start my computer i get a cannot find ';nail.ex'; message also cannot use system restore?

now you have to restart your computer from scratch





restart it and tap f3 fast until the system restore starts up

try to make anew username


log on with the new user name ,and try to use antivirus


i recommend u kaspersky ...any antivirus version ..





if it doesnot help ..





try to log on using safe mode

at the computer run press f8 keep clicking on it


u will get the choice of safe mood


then run the antivirus to checkk it and remove it..





if it doesnot help...





unblug ur hard disk and connect it to another computer has astrong antivirus ,,,as soon as u connect it the antivirus will catch the virus and remove it,,,and then connect the hard disk to your pc





the last solution ..install another fresh copy of windows ..and after installation .setup the antivirus ,before doing anything or even openeing any drive ....and it is recommended to setup the antivirus from acd ...

get cox internet and then will get McAfee protection from cox, after that do a virus scan it will find all viruses in ur pc, next click remove and it will remove all the viruses,adware,and spyware

No system restore? Ouch thats harsh. Have you tried error checking (long version) then defragmenting? After you do that, try system restore again.
Put the computer out of its misery . . . shoot it!
if you are having problems with your protection try Zone Alarm
check your program mgr sys restore is probably disabled
