Finger Nail Problem..?

My nails grow quickly and are thick and look healthy.. the problem is that once they get a certain length they start to split horizonaly.. almost like a hangnail.. except they split over the nail bed..


I have to cut them and file them down afterwards and try and keep them from snagging anything. Otherwise it hurts...


What can I do to keep this from happening?


I dont need anything to thickin them.. they are pretty strong.. only to a certain point..

That usually happens when your nails grow to a certain height. They have some nail polishes that make them harder so you can grow them longer, but since you said that you don't want to do that, then there's not too much you can do other than cut your nails and keep them at a certain length that doesn't cause them to crack like that.
