What does this mean:';If the only tool you have is a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail';?

It means that with ur limited knowledge, u try and fix every problem with the same solution because thats all u know. What does this mean:';If the only tool you have is a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail';?
The phrase ';When the only tool you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail'; (Abraham Maslow) is similar to the concept of a golden hammer; once you have a tool that works for one task, you want to use it for everything just because it's available, and because you have already developed the skills to use it.

The opposite of using a golden hammer would be using the right tool for the job.

What does this mean:';If the only tool you have is a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail';?
i think it means that u are only being one sided and u dont take the time to look at things from different point of views...u only solve things one way.
It means you take a heavy handed approach to a problem, I think.
i guess you would pound every one of your problems with a hammer.?!
it means that you try to take out screws with a hammer
